The game takes place in the near future: the demons burst into the world through places that were once dark temples. In the role of the hunter of demons you have to clean up the place breakouts and prevent the apocalypse. Fighting the evil you shook the world: "ghost towns", the high mountain castles, ancient monuments, archaeological sites, and even hell, where you will encounter the demon lord Abaddon.
At the beginning of the game you will be asked to choose one of four heroes who joined the battle with the demons to atone for his own sins. Heroes have a huge arsenal of deadly weapons (for a total of thirty-six) and the excellent skills of free-fight. Melee includes a variety of techniques and execution. In the game for the demons, you can use some specific techniques, such as meteor rain or thunderstorm. The Haunted is punctuated by a multiplayer game, but there are also modes for a single battle.
